C. C. Buell '23, former Harvard football star, will speak at the Sophomore smoker on Thursday, March 15, at 7 o'clock in the Union, it was announced last night by G. L. Lewis '30, chairman of the Smoker Committee. He also announced that a prominent officer of the University, whose name will be announced in a few days, would address the Sophomores.
Efforts are also being made to secure the services of the Instrumental Club double quartet composed of R. D. Bolster '28, J. C. Dreier '28, D. L. Garrison '28, A. A. Holbrook '28, R. S. Holden '29, F. S. Holmes '31, T. E. Jansen 2L, and D. S. Lanier '28.
One of the features of the evening's entertainment will be a speciality act by K. A. Perry '28 of the Instrumental Club. The Harvardians Orchestra, under the direction of Roy Lamson, Jr., '29, will provide music, for the occasion.
As was announced last week, moving pictures, of last fall's Harvard-Yale and Harvard-Indiana football games will be shown.
Other plans for entertainment include speeches by W. R. Harper '30, class president, who will preside, and by other prominent members of the class.
