HARVARD TENNIS TEAM YIELDS TITLE TO TIGERS

Nassau Players Win I. I. T. T. Crown With 26 Points--University Takes Third Place with 9 Points

The University tennis team finished third in the intercollegiate indoor tennis tournament which took place in Ithaca. N. Y. last Friday and Saturday, and thereby lost its claim to the indoor tennis crown which it won last year.

The doubles combination, composed of Captain B.H. Whitbeck '29 and M. T. Hill '30 forced its way through the opening rounds of the doubles tournament only to be turned back in the finals by J. W. Van Ryn and Kenneth Appel of Princeton

In the singles competition Arthur ln graham '30 lost to Lavine of Pennsylvania in the opening round by a score of 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, Hill defeated McDonald of Swarthmore 6-4, 6-3 and was defeated by Van Ryn 6-4, 6-3 in the next round.

The final score of the tourney places the Princeton team first with 26 points. Lehigh second with 16 and Harvard third with 9
