Joseph Lifrak '29, of Fall River, was elected captain of next year's wrestling team at Notman's Studio yesterday afternoon to succeed Thorndike Dudley Howe Jr., of Boston. Lifrak prepared at Durfee High, where he was a star athlete. He was named by several papers as an all-state halfback during his preparatory school days.
He captained the 1929 wrestling team in his Freshman year, and has been on the University team for two seasons. Last year he became champion of the New England Intercollegiate 135-pound class, which title he retained this year, when he defeated Morrison of Tufts by decision last Saturday.
