CRIMSON SUMMONS 1930 AND 1931 MONDAY NIGHT

CANDIDATES TO REPORT AT 7 O'CLOCK

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

When members of the Class of 1931 meet at the Crimson Building, 14 Plympton Street, at 7 o'clock on Monday to compete for the News and Photographic departments, it will be for a nine weeks competition broken up by the spring recess. Sophomores trying out for the Editorial department will compete for the same length of time. The competition will end early enough to allow ample time for study before final examinations.

Work in the News competition will consist of gathering and writing up each day the news of the University. The competition is necessarly difficult but it is interesting and affords a wide and intimate knowledge of all the activities of the University and the men engaged in them.

Candidates for the Editorial Board will be required to submit at least one editorial each day. They will be expected to keep in close touch with current events, both within and without the University.

The Photographic Department offers a thorough training in the mechanics of photography. The editors will supply candidates with cameras, and instructions in the method of picture-taking, developing, and printing.
