Preliminary skirmishes for the annual New England intercollegiate wrestling tournament, in which five colleges have been entered, will take place this evening at Tufts College, Medford. The University team will oppose grapplers from Brown, M. I. T., Tufts, and Williams.

Of the five teams taking part in the bouts Harvard and Brown enter as distinct favorites. The University wrestlers have for three consecutive years won the team championship and include two individual intercollegiate champions, C. C. Corson '28 and Joseph Lifrak '29 in their ranks. Brown, with three individual champions, will take to the mats a close rival for honors.

The draw for the preliminary bouts will be made this afternoon, and the finals of the meet will take place tomorrow night.

In addition to the University contest, there will also be a second team meet. Not all of the colleges are entering second teams in the tournament and the second team meet will be of an informal nature.

The line-up of the University team will be as follows:

115-pound class--L. J. Chibas '28

125-pound class--J. H. Burns '29

183-pound class--Joseph Lifrak '29

145-pound class--J. F. Solano '80

175-pound class--Nathaniel Warner '80

Unlimited class--T. D. Howe Jr. '28
