WITHINGTON JOINS STADIUM DEBATE

Lothrop Withington '11, president of the Harvard Club of Boston and member of two major sport teams while in College, has been added to the list of those who will debate next Tuesday evening at the Union on the question: "Resolved, That this house favors the enlargement of the Stadium to a seating capacity of 80,000 people." Withington was a part of two powerful gridiron machines in 1909 and 1910, and in the latter year captained a team which was scored against only once and which did not lose a game. He was also a member of three University crews, all of which were victorious over Yale, in 1909, 1910, and 1911.

H. W. Bragdon '28, vice-president of the Union, will represent the Student Council in this debate. He will speak on the affirmative side of the question with M. A. Cheek '26. A. R. Sweezy '29 will uphold the negative.

A. C. Hanford Ph.D. '23, associate professor of Government and Dean of Harvard College, has been invited to speak, as well as C. C. Buell '23, former Crimson gridiron luminary. Other prominent members of the Alumni body and faculty members will also attend the meeting, and it is expected that some of them will express the standpoint of the graduate body in regard to the enlarging of the Stadium.
