Saturday the Freshman squash team journeyed to Neew Haven and administered a defeat to the Yale first year men by a 4 to 1 score.
The 1931 team, the record of which to date has been the most successful of any first year team ever produced by Coach H. L. Cowles, had but little trouble in disposing of its Blue rivals. Captain Ogden Phipps '31 maintained his brilliant record by easily defeating the Eli captain in straight games.
The only setback which the Freshmen received came when J. C. McGlinn of Yale defeated N. F. Glidden Jr. '31 in a gruelling five game match.
The summary follows:
Ogden Phipps '31 defeated Ingram (Y), 15-6, 15-11, 15-12. C. D. Breckenridge '31 defeated Holbrook (Y), 6-15, 13-15, 15-8, 15-13, 15-13. A. C. Ingraham '31 defeated Patterson (Y), 17-16, 15-9, 15-12.
