FENCERS CROSS FOILS WITH SYRACUSE TODAY

University Swordsmen Face Orange Team in Afternoon Clash--No Sabre Event to Be Contested

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University fencing team will again get into action when it meets the Syracuse swordsmen at 4 o'clock this afternoon in Hemenway Gymnasium. Only the foils and epee events will be contested, the sabre matches having been ruled out of the meet by mutual agreement.

The Orange foilsmen have not had a successful season, and no real comparison can be made between the two teams as a result of their matches with Pennsylvania. Both have been overcome by the Quakers by comparatively close scores, the University foilsmen going down to defeat, 9 to 8.

The University line-up this afternoon follows.

Foils: Captain C. B. Bollister '29, M. R. Berliner '28, and D. l. Modell '30.

Epee: M. R. Berliner '28, and D. l. Modell '30.
