Practice for infield and outfield candidates for both University and Freshman baseball teams will start in earnest this afternoon in the Le Baron Russell Briggs baseball cage.
Candidates for the University team will report at 2 o'clock, and will start indoor practice at once under the direction of Coach F. G. Mitchell, who has been overseeing the work of the battery candidates for the past week.
Infield and outfield aspirants for the Freshman nine are scheduled to report at 4 o'clock to Coach Claude Davidson along with the battery candidates who have been at work for the last week in the new cage.
Indoor practice will take place regularly every afternoon in the cage until the weather permits all practice to be held outdoors on Soldiers Field.
