Entertainment Plans Call for Moving Pictures--Student Council Budget Foots Bills; No Assessment

Moving pictures of last fall's Harvard-Yale and Harvard-Indiana football games will be shown at the Sophomore smoker which will be held in the Union on March 17 at 7 o'clock, it was announced last night by G. L. Lewis '30, chairman of the committee in charge of the smoker.

Lewis also announced that, despite current rumors to the contrary, there would be no assessment placed on the class, since the budget appropriation by the Student Council would cover all expenses.

In addition to the football pictures it was definitely stated that the services of Roy Lamson's Harvardians had been secured to provide music at the smoker Tentative plans for further entertainment include speeches by prominent persons and specialty acts by entertainers. After the entertainment refreshments will be served.

W. R. Harper '30, class president, will preside at the smoker. The committee which has made complete arrangements for the smoker is headed by G. L. Lewis '30, with T. F. Mason '30 and F. V. Nissen '30 sub-chairmen, and is composed of A. B. Bigelow '30, S. P. Brown '30, Marshall Dwinnell '30, V. I. Hennessey '30, G. C. Holbrook '30, W. P. Lage '30, John Noble '30, J. W. Potter '30, R. I. Summers '30, R.F. Wenner '30, and W.P. Wetmore'30.
