A last minute flash brought a 27-24 victory over the Exeter quintet to the Freshman basketball team Saturday night in a game played in the Thompson Gymnasium at Exeter. R.E. Seeger '31 and P.W. Mahady '31, in the close of the last period, shot two long baskets to bring the first year men victory.
Playing for the first time this year, Ward of Exeter was the high scorer of the game with 10 points to his credit. Mahady was the high scorer for the Freshmen; seven points were accredited to him.
The lead fluctuated between the two teams until the close of the first half, when the Schoolboys led, 10-8.  Immediately after the opening of the second half, Mahady tied the score with a long shot from the floor.     Score--Harvard Freshmen 27, Exeter 24.  Goals from floor, Mahady 4, Sponuagle 3, Farrell 3, Seeger 2, Dutton, Ward 4, Reed 3, Johnston 2, Parker.  Goals from fouls, Mahady, Foshay, Farrell, Ward 2, Parker, Johnston.  Referee, MacDonald.  Time, 16 minute halves.
