In spite of its triumph in the foils, the University fencing team went down to defeat yesterday afternoon at Hemen-way Gymnasium before a strong Columbia team by a score of 10 to 7.

Foils: Berliner defeated Cantino (Columbia), 5-1. Tompkins (Columbia), defeated C. B. Hollister '29, 5-3. D. I. Modell '30 defeated Allesandrimo (Columbia), 5-2. Berliner defeated Tompkins (Columbia), 5-4. Cantino (Columbia) defeated Modell, 5-4. C. B. Hollister '29 defeated Allesandrimo (Columbia), 5-1. Modell defeated Tompkins (Columbia), 5-3. Cantino (Columbia) defeated Hollister, 5-1. Berliner defeated Allesandrimo (Columbia), 5-3.

Sabers: Cohen (Columbia) defeated Berliner, 5-2, and Modell, 5-2. Tompkins (Columbia) defeated Modell, 5-2. Dow (Columbia) defeated Berliner, 5-3.
