The West Point Cadets will probably give up their custom of invading hostile college towns by land, when they come for the Army game and take to the high seas to move on Cambridge and the Stadium next October.
The plan now is for the entire Cadet Corps to embark at West Point on Friday afternoon, October 19, on a vessel of the Fall River Line, and steam into Boston harbor on Saturday morning. The return would be made Saturday night.
This will be the first trip of the corps to this vicinity, since 1821, when a small group of future officers came to Boston to accept a flag. A note relating to this visit is still to be found in old files in Boston.
