The Intercollegiate Finance Committee for the Olympic games, which has been organized by Major General Douglas MacArthur, President of the American Olympic Committee, will be head by S. de J. Osborne '27, retiring Director of Publicity of the H. A. A.
The aim of this committee is to raise $100,000 from college graduates and undergraduates as well as from athletic boards; the money is to be used to pay the expenses of the American representatives to Amsterdam this summer.
Up to date $10,000 have been received, according to Osborne, and $25,000 have been pledged. Harvard leads the Eastern colleges, having reached the highest mark with $2010, contributed by the H. A. A. and two University graduates.
