Franklin Leroy Anderson '29 was elected leader of the University Band at a recent dinner of the Harvard Band Club, it was announced last night by H.G. Holland 11, the retiring director.
Anderson is returning next year for graduate work in music. He has played trombone i the Band four years and is concentrating in the division of music. He is also President of the Pierian Sodality and was for two years Secretary of the Harvard Musical Club. Last spring he wrote incidental music for the Dramatic Club's production "Hassan."
At the Band Club meeting the following officers were also elected:
J. W. Green 1G. president: W. H. Boldt '30, manager; G. W. Briggs '31, treasurer; H. P. Moulton 11, secretary.
