CIRCOLO TO HONOR PROFESSOR FORMICHI AT DINNER TUESDAY

Function in Union to Precede First Meeting of Year

The Circolo Italiano will hold a dinner at the Harvard Union on Tuesday, December 18, at 6.30 o'clock, it was announced last night by James Roosevelt '30, president.

The dinner will be held in honor of Professor Carlo Formicht, of the University of Rome, who was recently a visiting lecturer at the University of California and is now on his way back to Italy. After the dinner, the Circolo will hold its first meeting of the year, at which plans for the ensuing season will be discussed.

Professor Carlo Formichi will give his last lecture in the United States, following the dinner and meeting. The lecture which is open to the public will be given under the auspices of the department of Romance Languages and is to be held in Emerson D at 8 o'clock Professor Formichi will speak on "St Francis, Dante, and Leonardo di Vinci, as Expressions of the Italian Soul."
