R. S. Wright '26, former National Squash Racquets Champion, yesterday fought his way into the second round of the amateur championship tournament at the Bath Club in London by defeating H. F. Bagnall, of the English team, by a score of 3-1, 9-6, 9-6.
Wright was one of the favorites last year, but he was put out in the semifinal round after a closely contested battle.
While an undergraduate, Wright was on the University Squash Racquets team in 1925-26, University Squash Racquets Champion in 1926, and Union Squash Racquets Champion in 1925-26.
