The officers of the 1932 Red Book will be appointed tonight by the temporary executive council for Freshmen, according to a statement last night by W. R. Harper '30, chairman of the committee in charge of Freshman affairs.
The appointment of the Red Book officers by this representative Freshman board is a departure from the custom of having the class officers appoint the chief editors of the staff. More than two months is gained by this new method for it will be possible to have the whole staff picked by the end of a competition in January instead of in March or April as in previous years.
