Harvard Still On Track To Reach Fossil Fuel-Neutral Status by 2026, Sustainability Report Finds
Harvard's football forces were given a taste of the Pennsylvania style of attack yesterday by an ineligible eleven and the manner in which they diagnosed and covered the plays augurs well for Saturday's clash.
The workout contained no actual scrimmaging, but over an hour was devoted to the Red and Blue demonstration. The secondary was particularly alert and quick to sense the hidden ball and fake plays for which the Pennsylvania attack is famed. The line men too were rarely drawn out of position a fact which shows that the experience gained in two hard contests this fall has not gone for naught. Both team A and team B took part in this session and the seconds were only slightly less effective than the regulars.
Starting Lineup Uncertain
Saturday's starting lineup is not yet fixed one wing and the pilot position being the doubtful points R. H. O'Connell '30 is practically sure to start at one end, but the other berth is being disputed by F. A. Pickard '29 and J. G. Douglas '30. Either one may get the call Saturday. A rumor around Soldiers Field insists that George Crawford ocC will be directing the eleven when it faces the Red and Blue, but the chances are equally good that Coach Horween may send in E. T. Putnam '30 whose stellar work was so effective against Lehigh last Saturday's.
J. E. Barrett '30 and A. W. Huguley '31 were absent from practice on account of classes.
