Members of the four oared crew which represented United States in the Olympics last summer will receive the minor sport "11" it was announced yesterday by the H. A. A. as a result of a last Monday meeting of the Harvard Committee on the Regulation of Athletic Sports.
The Committee also approved the election of J. W. Filcon '29 of Brockton as University golf captain of W. B. Wood Jr. '32 of Milton as Freshman football captain and of N. I. Hallowell '32 of Milton as Freshman cross country captain.
Thanks and appreciation were voted to Gragg Richards '02 for his gift of a cross country trophy to be competed for by members of the University and Freshman cross country squads.
The Committee also voted to approve the awarding of polo insignias and the secretary of the Committee, H. W. Clark '23 was entrusted with the settling of a proper design for the insignia.
