To the Editor of the CRIMSON:

"Hall! Hall! The gang's all here!" Yes, indeed, they are all here but Mr. Thomas. Alas! Mr. Cohen, why have you not informed us of the activities and qualifications of your own candidate? In your next missive to the CRIMSON we think you might mention some of them, for we are afraid you will prejudice us in favor of his rivals.

As a matter of fact, though, we should like to know just what is the purpose of Mr. Cohen's letter. Several perusals of it have yielded no basis for a conclusion, except that it is a specimen of "mud-slinging" and a poor one at that. The statements couched in magnificent sarcasm, are ridiculous in their gross exaggeration, and for that reason it is needless to stoop to refute any of them.

Such methods as those to which Mr. Cohen has stooped are cheap, idle and ineffectual. They are unbecoming enough to anyone in political argument but especially so in his case; as publicity manager of the "Harvard Thomas-for-President Club" he can ill-afford with his meager following of a hundred, to give the impression that his party sanctions the use of such weapons.

Hitherto we had observed with approval, the absence of unjust abuse of rival candidates among the political contributions to the CRIMSON and it is with regret that we read Mr. Cohen's letter. R. Crane '32.   S.C. Steele, '32.
