No definite plans concerning the Harvard football coach for next year will be announced before January according to a statement made yesterday by W. J. Bingham '16 director of athletics at Harvard.
Official Statement Made
"I spent a good deal of time talking with Arnold Horween in New York Sunday," Bingham said, "but no definite conclusion on the coaching situation has yet been reached and probably none will be reached until after Mr. Horween has studied his business affairs at first hand and has returned from his wedding trip.
"In all probability it will be January before I have any announcement to make on the coaching subject."
After the game on Saturday Bingham briefly addressed the players in the Lapham Field clubhouse and referred to Horween in high terms and concluded with the following:
Horween Not Decided Yet
"I have been trying to induce Horween to say that he will return to us next year but I have not been able to get him to say that he will do so."
Horween's next visit to Cambridge will probably be on the occasion of the banquet which the Harvard Club of Boston is anxious to tender this year's Crimson team. The date for this affair has not been set and awaits such a time when the head coach can arrange to be present with the team.
