Entries for the First University Handicap Cross Country Run close tomorrow evening, it was announced last night by R. E. Damo '30, manager of the University cross country team. All applicants should sign the books at Leavitt and peirce's and at the Locker Building.
Generous handicaps up to eight minutes will be awarded, the purpose of the run being to promote interest in distance running. Fifty-six entries have been made to date for the five and a half mile, run.
A perpetual $100 trophy, three silver cups, and seven bronze medals have been donated by Gragg Richards '02, former Harvard track man, as priros for the run.
Men who have not been running regularly this fall will be allowed to compete, as well as all members of the University and Freshmen squads.
