The restriction barring Freshman runners from the First Annual Open Intercollegiate Cross Country Run has been removed in order that more colleges will feel inclined to enter the meet, it was announced at the H. A. A. last night. It was also stated that the closing date for entries has been moved forward to today.
The only restriction at present made on entering runners is that they shall not have represented a college as university runners in a sectional championship. The intention to enter the New England Intercollegiate Cross Country Championship Run does not disbar applicants.
Cup Given for Team Score
The Dennis O'Connell cup for the winning team will be awarded on a team-score basis, the first five men of each team to count in the scoring. Five gold medals will be awarded to the first five men on the winning team, and ten medals will also be given for the first ten place. A placque will be awarded to the college sending the largest number of men to the starting line.
