Yesterday afternoon brought the completion of the Annual Fall Handicap Track meet when the last five events of this tourney were run off.
The men taking first places yesterday were F. J. Mardulier '30 in the 70-yard high hurdles, V. J. Munroe '31 in the 440-yard dash. J. O. Wildes '29, in the 880-yard dash. M. J. Berkowitz '32 in the discus throw, and John Forbes '32 in the javelin throw.
Freshmen Place Most Men
The class of 1932 leads the list of the number of placements in the meet with 14 to its credit. 1930 follows with 10, 1931 with nine, and 1929 with seven. The only landslide was the shot put event, of which the first three places were taken by Freshmen.
The summary of yesterday's events follows: 70-yard high hurdles, first heat; First, F. J. Mardulier '30 (1-5 second); second, R. B. Corey '29 (scratch). Time--9 4.5 seconds. Second heat: First, W. K. Page '31 (scratch); second, C. T. Atwood '30 (1-5 second). Time--10 1-10 seconds. Final: First, F. J. Mardulier '30 (1-5 second); second, R. B. Corey '29 (scratch); third, W. K. Page '31 (scratch). Time--9 1-5 seconds.
440-yard dash: First, V. J. Munroe '31 (scratch); second, Frederick Cummings '30 (scratch); third, N. B. Bakas '31 (10 yards). Time--52 5-10 seconds.
Wildes Wins Half Mile
880-yard run: First, J. O. Wildes '29 (10-yards); second, S. H. Martin 2L. (scratch); third, W. R. Koch '29, (17-yards). Time--2 minutes, 3 2-5 seconds.
Discus throw: First, M. J. Berkowitz '32 (5 Feet); second, P. M. Sweezy '31 (scratch); third R. F. Mahady '31 (5feet). Distance, with handicap--111 feet, 4 inches.
Javelin throw--First, John Fobes '32 (20 feet); second, F. T. Burgees '30 (35 feet); John Marsh '32 (5 feet). Distance, with handicap--163 feet, 2 inches.
