SPRINGFIELD CAPTAIN LAUDS EFFORTS OF HARVARD ELEVEN

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

"Harvard is going to have a whale of a team, based on the showing which they made against us today," said Captain Williamson of Springfield when questioned by a CRIMSON reporter in the visitors dressing room immediately following Saturday's game.

"Your line is the heaviest and best I have ever played against. The tackles turned in an excellent performance. We succeeded in taking them out only one or two plays during the entire game. The center, Ticknor, also played a good game. His passes were well executed and on the defense he would break through, almost very time. The entire line showed up to advantage.

"There is hardly any need to comment on the Harvard backfield. Obviously you possess several brilliant runners and defense players composing a well balanced group. If Harvard continues to turn out the performance which it gave against us today I think it will cause a lot of worry this fall to any team in the East."
