Acting on the decision of the Athletic council, "H" men have undertaken to lead the cheering this year. J. L. Reid, captain of the cross country team, and head cheerleader, announced last night that "H" men will interchange between games.
"I wish to entreat the student body to cooperate with the cheerleaders," he said.
"A student is silent at a football game for two reasons; first, because he does not know the cheers, and secondly, because he is afraid to cheer when nobody around him is cheering.
"There are only three cheers, and it shouldn't be difficult to learn these. Never mind the other fellow, and remember that the team consists of eleven men and the student body".
