Negotiations have just been completed for a Harvard Yale dual debate to be held on October 26. The subject of the debate is to be: "Resolved, That Alfred E. Smith should be elected President of the United States." The Harvard affirmative team will debate in Boston, and the negative at Yale.
This debate is conducted separately from the regular triangular debate between Yale, Harvard, and Princeton which is held in the spring.

Plans are being made to hold the local meeting of the debaters in Jordan Hall in Boston, and it has not been definitely ascertained as yet whether or not the Hall can be obtained.
The debating team is to be coached by E. M. Rowe 21, Mr. Rowe coached the Harvard team last year which won the Eastern intercollegiate championship. The first tryouts are to be held on Wednesday in the New Lecture Hall at 4 o'clock. There are no definitely chosen memebers of the team as yet. This debate is being run under the auspices of the Harvard Debating Council.
