The University squash racquets team divided honors in its series of matches held during the Christmas recess as New York, defeating the Rockaway Hunting Club, 3-1, and at the same time losing to the Harvard Club, S-2. The first sets were played last Thursday at the Harvard Club in New York, and the second sets were played the next day on the Club's courts.
The matches played last week resulted as follows:
Team A Harvard Club of New York at New York Harvard Club 3, Harvard 2; P. M. Lenhart '27, Harvard Club, defeated Seabury Oliver '28, 3-1; A. G. Thatcher '29 defeated L. S. Haskins '26, Harvard Club, 3-2; J. l. Poole '28 defeated G. D. Debevoise '26, Harvard Club, defeated G. H. Francis '30, 3-1, P. R. Pease '26, Harvard Club, defeated B. H. Whitback '29, S-1.
Team A Rockaway Hunting Club at Cedarhurst. Harvard 5, Rockaway Club 1; J. L. Pole '28 defeated B. L. Norris, 3-0; Seabury Oliver '28 defeated E. Jonklass, 3-0; A. G. Thatcher '29 defeated B. Miller, 4-1; G. T. Francis '30 defeated W. S. Davis, S-1; B. H. Whitbeck '29 defeated J. H. Harper, 4-1; G.T. J. Wyeth defeated S. M. Dupertius '28 4-1.
