For the second time this year the Freshman basketball team met defeat, when it emerged from the game with St. John's Academy in the Freshman Gyminium Saturday at the small end of a 31 to 23 score. The quintet from Danvers was leading the first-year players 17 to 5 at the end of the first half.
Although the Freshman managed to bring its count up to 23 in the second half, the Blue and White team's lead was never seriously threatened. Driscoll, St. John's center, was the most conspicuous player of the game, and lead the Danvers with a total of ten points to his credit.
The summary follows: Score-Harvard Freshman 23; St. John's Academy 31. Goals from floor--Driscoll 5, Szeszjowski, Johnson 3, Farrell 3, Dutton 3, Deverice 3, Foshay. Goals from fouls--Machler 2, Szeszwoski 2. Rex, Dutton, Farrell, Deverice. Referee--Cragen. Time--10 minute quarters.
