UNIVERSITY SECONDS DEFEAT ANDOVER ON ICE BY 2-1 SCORE

Loosely Played Game Showed Lack of Team Work

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In a hockey game which failed to rise above the level of informal play the University Seconds outplayed the inexperienced Andover sextet yesterday afternoon and left the ice with a 2 to 1 verdict.

Men on both teams skated over the complete surface of the rink, paying but little attention to the positions they were playing. Andover, especially, showed its want of practice on the runners due to the lack of sufficient cold weather.

The summary follows: HARVARD  ANDOVER Howland, Clifford, l.w.  r.w., Pierce Mills, Collins, Felton, r.w.  l.w., Adams Davis, Richardson, Shearer, c.  c., Cushman Covel, Warren, l.d.  r.d., Genkins Clark, Harrison, r.d.  l.d., Carroll, Rugg Trask, g.  g., Neill, Hayes

Score--Harvard 2, Andover 1. Goals--Davis; Covel, Cushman. Time--Three 20 minute periods. Referee--Rocque.
