MORE SCRIMMAGE MARKS WORK OF FOOTBALL SQUAD

TURNER MAY RESUME BERTH IN DAY OR TWO

Two hours of drill on fundamentals followed by a ten minute scrimmage between teams A and B was the work prescribed by Head Coach Arnold Horween '20 for his gridiron charges yesterday afternoon. At the conclusion of the workout Horween declined to announce even a tentative line-up for the Vermont game Saturday. The final decision as to several of Saturday's starting line-up still seems remote, with several ends battling on almost even terms, one guard position unsettled, and the center situation somewhat doubtful.

Dudley Bell '28 was in the center position on team A yesterday in the final scrimmage and in the final signal drill of the afternoon, but it is likely that R. W. Turner '28 will be able to resume his place as first string pivot within the next few days.

Yesterday's scrimmage resulted in two scores for team A.; J. P. Crosby '28 and David Guarnaccia '29 both going over the line after the ball had ben put in play on the team B 30-yard line. Team A lined up as follows: John Prior '29 and B. H. Strong '28, ends; C. A. Pratt '29, backs. Team B was composed of the Simonds '28 and John Parkinson '29, guards; Dudley Bell '28, center; D. F. Kelley '28, quarterback; J. P. Crosby '28, David Guarnaccia '29, and T. G. Moore '29, backs. Team B was composed of the following: W. W. Lord '28 and R. H. O'Connell '29, ends; J. E. Barrett '30 and H. L. Morris '30, tackles; R. A. Stewart '30 and David Shaw '29, guards; A. B. Bigelow '30, center; H. W. Burns '28, quarterback; G. E. Donaghy '29, S. C. Burns '29, and W. R. Harper '39, backs.
