PHI BETA KAPPA TO CONDUCT MEETING

Officers and Members to Be Chosen and Announced--Smith Is Orator, Wheelock poet

The annual meeting of the Harvard Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa will be held today. The events of the day will open with a business meeting to be held at 10. o'clock in Emerson Hall, and at 11.30 o'clock the literary exercises will be held in Sanders Theatre in Memorial Hall. A Dinner to be held at the Union at 1 o'clock will conclude the meeting.

Bishop William Lawrence '71, former Bishop of the Diocese of Massachusetts, will preside at the Sanders Theatre literary exercises. The oration will be delivered by Jeremiah Smith Jr. '92, recently elected an Overseer of the University. John Hall Wheelock '08 will read the Phi Beta Kappu Poem.

Members to be Elected

Election of officers and members will be among the business to be considered, and the names of candidates elected will be announced after the meeting. Several honorary memberships will be conferred.

The public is invited to the literary exercises, and all members of the fraternity will be welcome at these ceremonies and at the dinner following. Tickets for the dinner, priced at $2.50, are on sale at the University Bookstore. Members of the other chapters are asked to apply to Professor W. G. Howard, 91 Garden Street, the secretary of the Harvard Chapter.
