Subscriptions of the War Memorial in memory of the Harvard men who fell in the World War, have almost reached the $600,000 mark.
The largest number of contributors and the highest total sum contributed comes from Massachusetts. In this state 619 individuals have given a total of $291,399.50. The next state to Massachusetts is New York with a total of 266 contributers and $212,996 given. Pennsylvania is third with 65 donors giving a sum of $34,050, while Illinois is fourth with 47 gifts amounting in all to $17,042.
The balance is made of from gifts from all over the country, 375 contributors giving $42,987.92. The total number of contributors to date is 1,372 and the exact amount received is $598,475.42
