Playing their final matches of the season, the first and second University tennis teams will invade New Haven today to meet their Blue rivals. The Crimson Freshman players will also meet the Eli first-year netmen on the Divinity Courts this afternoon. On Monday the golf teams of the two universities will play the last match of their schedules when they clash on the links of the Rhode Island Country Club at Providence.
The stiffest contest on the New Haven courts promises to be the clash between Captain J. F. W. Whitbeck '27 and Charles Watson III, leader of the Blue forces. Following is the draw for the first team matches: Whitbeck vs. Watson; L. H. Gordon '27 vs. McGlinn; B. H. Whitbeck '29 vs. Jackson; Stephen Thompson '27 vs. Reed; J. H. Appleton '29 vs. Barker; T. O. Kingsbury '27 vs. Mahan. In the doubles, Whitbeck and Gordon will pair off against Watson and McGlinn, Kingsbury and B. H. Whitbeck against Jackson and Barker; Appleton and J. C. Reuter '28 against Barker and Mahan.
The second team line-up follows: Robeson Bailey '29, S. G. French '28, Howard Lisker '29, H. W. Sayles '28, W. J. Iselin '29, R. S. Kazanjian '27, C. H. Olmsted '29. The 1930 men who will meet the Blue are M. T. Hill, captain, Arthur Ingraham Jr., E. B. Ward, R. S. Winslow, F. K. Trask Jr., and J. L. Ware. E. M. M. Warburg and John Cross II will go to New Haven as substitutes.
The University golfers will play against Yale Monday in the following order: E. S. Stimpson '27, Dwight Barnum '27, Joseph Morrill '28, J. A. Hutchinson '28, E. D. Cole '27, and either J. W. Hutchinson '28 or O. L. Winston '29. One of the last two will probably play in the singles matches and the other in the foursome.
