RHODES AND WARD WIN 1930 BASEBALL MANAGER BERTHS

George Pearson Rhodes Jr. '30 of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was appointed manager of the Freshman baseball team as the result of an eight week competition which ended yesterday. John Harris Ward '30, of Kansas City, Missouri, was appointed assistant manager.

Rhodes prepared for the University at Choate School, Wallingford, Connecticut, while Ward entered Harvard from Andover. Each of these men will receive his class numerals, and will have charge of the conduct of the game with the Yale Freshmen to be played on Soldiers Field this Saturday.
