Active work in the editing of the Harvard University Register which this year will be published for the Student Council by the CRIMSON, will begin tomorrow with the mailing of information blanks to all the secretaries of clubs and other organizations.
No great changes are planned in the make-up of the Register, but a special effort is being made to have the issue ready for distribution early in the fall. To this end, arrangements have been made with a the printer guaranteeing early delivery. On the other hand, the CRIMSON will forefeit its guarantees if it is found impossible to keep copy flowing into the printer's hands on time.
The blanks mailed tomorrow should be returned immediately by the heads of organizations to whom they have been sent. The editors of the Register will make every effort to include every club in the 1927 volume; but they cannot guarantee including any organization whose secretary does not furnish the necessary information on time.
Due to the fact that waiting for elections made to the clubs during next fall would delay publication by several weeks, it has been decided to include in the organization lists only of such men as are members at the end of this year.
Blanks should be filled out as of June, 1927, omitting, of course Seniors who will not be members of organizations next fall. In cases where men listed this spring fail to return to college next fall, the editors will remove their names from the lists next fall, at the request of their organization.
Orders for the Register may be made this spring at a reduction in cost. The Register next fall will sell for $2.50, the usual price, but orders mailed this spring together with check for $2.25, will be received at the CRIMSON Building.
