The annual Crimson-Lampoon relay race will be held this year at Soldiers Field on May 7, it was announced last night by M. A. Cheek '26, who is sponsoring the annual intra-departmental, inter-class track meet, to be held on that date. In addition to the Crimson-Lampoon clash, it is expected that there will be relay races between the various classes and departments, and between athletic managers. The Crimson-Lampoon race, it is expected, will be the feature of the meet.
Members of the CRIMSON who will oppose the Lampoon on May 7 will be Captain F. V. Field '27, H. C. Bartlett '28 David Worcester '28, with Eduardo Andrade '28 as anchor. A. L. May '29 will act as substitute. Lead-off man for the Lampoon racers will be H. N. Higginbotham '28. Others running for the Jester are to be L. C. Jones '28, and Harrison Proctor '29 with James De Normandie '29 as anchor. The substitute will be L. M. McTurnan '28.
On the same day on which this race will be held, Edvin Wide, the Swedish runner, will attempt to break the world's two-mile record.
