TENTATIVE LINEUP IS NAMED FOR B. U. GAME

BARBEE AND CHAUNCEY FORM BATTERY

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Eight veterans are on the nine which Coach Fred Mitchell has tentatively chosen to face the Boston University team which comes to Soldiers Field Saturday for the opening contest of the Harvard baseball season.

A veteran battery, with Barbee on the mound and Chauncey behind the bat, will go on the field Saturday backed up by an infield made up entirely of lettermen. Tobin will hold down the first sack, with Ullman and Capt. Zarakov at second, and third. Sullivan will be at short.

Outfield Strong With Stick

Burns, Jones and Lord, a trio of heavy hitters, will make up an exceptionally strong outfield. Lord, a former first baseman whose ability at bat caused Coach Mitchell to shift him to left field, is the only player on the nine who is not a letterman.

Announcement was made last night that the proposed Connecticut trip for the Freshman baseball team, which, according to plans was to have been made during the Spring Recess, has been cancelled. A game with Milton is being considered for Saturday to replace the game previously scheduled with Middlesex which was called off because the schoolboys felt the contest came too soon after their Easter Vacation.
