A comprehensive program of speeches and entertainment has been arranged for the Freshman Smoker to be held on Thursday April 7 in the Living room of the Union. President Lowell and George Owen '23 will be the principal speakers, of the evening as announced by G. L. Lewis '30, chairman of the Smoker Committee.
Following these two speeches moving pictures of last fall's Harvard-Yale football game will be shown. B. F. Cogan '23 and R. P. Bullard '24 will render song specialities while a college orchestra, which will be assembled by B. P. Hanighen '30 and will probably contain a large part of the Gold Coast Orchestra will furnish the music.
Favors, probably in the form of ash trays, will be given out with cigarettes and pipe tobacco and while ginger ale, sandwiches and doughnuts are being served a picture of the class will be taken.
The smoker will start at 7.30 o'clock and although the exact order of the events has not been decided President Lowell's address will probably open the meeting.
