JUNIORS HAVE EDGE ON 1929 NINE IN PRACTICE ENCOUNTER

Five Inning Contest Marks Opening of Inter-Class Hostilities

The first interclass baseball game was played yesterday afternoon when the Juniors downed the Sophomores 5 to 4 in a five inning game.

The Sophomores tied the score at four-all in the first half of the fifth, but the Juniors regained their lead to win the game when H. J. Wallace '28 singled, stole second, and scored on a hit by C. P. Atherton '28.

A Senior, R. V. Beals, started on the mound for the Juniors, and, although he was relieved after the second inning., he managed to bat out a homer with one man on base before he left the game.
