Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
A cast of 14 players was announced last night for the Dramatic Club's spring performance,. "The Taming of the Shrew." Kingsley Perry '28, the president of the Dramatic Club, is in the role of Petruchio, and Miss Frances Small Radcliffe '28, playing Katharina, will be the leading actors in the production. They will be assisted by a cast of 12 other experienced actors, four of whom are from Radcliffe. Perry has acted three successive years in Dramatic Club performances, taking leading parts in "Brown of Harvard," and "The Orange Comedy". Miss Small has also played in three performances and has had a great deal of added experience performing in the Radcliffe Idler Club plays.
In the supporting positions G. B. Bingham '28, who had the chief part in "Brown of Harvard" last spring, and "The Orange Comedy", takes the role of Grumio while Miss Mary Carpenter, Radcliffe '27, plays Bianca, the daughter of Baptista. She is secretary of the Idler Club and has done a great deal of work in staging the Radcliffe productions.
H. W. Donegan, of the Theological School, who has had a varied career playing at the Repertory Theatre and in New York, fills the part of Lucentio while Charles Leatherbee '29 plays the part of Baptista. A. S. Gerstein '30, the only Freshman in the cast, plays Hortensio; Margaret Effinger, Radcliffe 1G., takes the part of Curtis, and C. A. Hicks ocC., plays Biondello.
"The Taming of the Shrew" will be given at Brattle Hall the evenings of May 3, 4, and 6
