A cut of eight men, following the race held by the crews of the A squad in the basin last Saturday afternoon, has reduced the first squad to 16 men, the number which will be retained throughout the rest of the season. The two 150-pound eights staged a race over the Henley distance, following the two mile clash of Coach Brown's men and have also been rearranged with some cuts and some promotions.
