In place of the 17 specific fields of concentration now in effect in the Department of History, a new list has been compiled. By this change a large number of the present fields have been subdivided, and the scheme of things so revised that, commencing next fall, the department will offer 25 specific fields.
The following are the newly-appointed fields: Greek History; Roman History; Political and Constitutional History of the Middle Ages; History of Medieval Civilization; History of England to 1485; History of the Renaissance and the Reformation, 130.0-1600; Modern European History, 1565-1715; Modern European History, 1715-1815; History of Continental Europe, 1848-1918.
The History of England 1485-1715; History of England 1640-1815; History of England 1760-1918; History of France 1461-1815; History of France 1789 to the present; History of Modern Germany since 1555; History of Eastern Europe, Medieval and Modern; History of the Spanish Empire 1492-1898; History of Modern Latin America.
American History to 1763; American History 1763-1865; American History 1865-1926; History of International relations since 1500; History of Representative Institutions; History of European Expansion.
