VETERANS TO HEAD NEW PUDDING CAST

The cast of "Gentlemen, the Queen," the Hasty Pudding Club show, will be headed by four veterans of last year's show, W. S. Wilson '27, George Higginson '27, C. E. Henderson '28, and Franklin Dexter Jr. '28, it was announced last night by Augustus Barratt, coach of the production.

The premiere of "Gentlemen, the Queen" will be on April 6, Graduates' Night, and will not be open to the public. The first public performance will be on Thursday, April 7, at 8.15 o'clock in the Hasty Pudding Clubhouse. It will play there until the following Thursday and then go on tour, giving performances at the Academy of Music in Northampton on April 16, the Penn Athletic Club in Philadelphia on April 21, and the Mecca Temple in New York on April 22.

W. S. Wilson '27, who starred as Shirley in "1776" last year, plays Queen Elizabeth, the title role of the present show, George Higginson '27 plays the part of Ramon, the Spanish ambassador to the English court, while C. E. Henderson '28, besides his specialty work on the piano, takes the role of the Jester. Franklin Dexter '28 portrays the character of Shakespeare.

Queen Mamie of Monomania is played by E. deS. Melcher '28, while the ingenue role is done by M. B. Wells '28, as Lady Evelyn. A. S. Bigelow '29 is the young hero of the play and takes the part of Lord Essex and Sir Walter Raleigh is played by Donald Murchie '28.
