More than 100 Freshmen reported for the opening meeting of the Red Book competitions in Smith Halls Common Room last night. This is the last competition open to first year men.
Those who reported will work until the Freshman Jubilee in the latter part of May. At that time 12 men will be elected to the Business Board, 12 to the Editorial Board, eight to the Photographic Board, and eight to the Arts and Cuts Board. One man in each competition will become a sub-chairman in his department.
H. T. Holbrook '30 editor-in-chief, told the candidates some of the history of the Red Book which has been issued for the last 18 years. S. W. Satterlee '30, associate editor-in-chief outlined the general nature of the work and then turned the men over to the chairmen of the various departments.
