The annual mid-winter conference held at Poland Springs, Maine, was heartily approved by each member of the Harvard delegation. Harvard was represented by E. M. Baker '23, J. T. Coyle 3T.S., R. H. Holden '29, O. R. Rice '25, and C. O. Simpson '27.

In the official meetings of the conference, two forums were held. The first, entitled "Relations Between Mexico and the United States" was led by A. E. de Los Monteros. In the second, Miss Rhoda McCullock, of the national Y. M. C. A. propounded the theory that life is primarily for human enjoyment with spasms of discord and disease, and H.-Pitt Van Dusen of Union Theological Seminary spoke of human life as a service to mankind. He showed how an emergence of the two theories of self statisfaction and service makes the contented man.

In addition to the forums, coasting, skiing, and snowshoeing were enjoyed.

The Poland Springs Conference was co-educational. The 1928 conference will be held at Northfield, Mass. 1928 will be a success.
