Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
Final dates for the performances of the Pl Eta Club's wild western musical comedy "Shoot the Works" were announced last night by J. K. Whiting '29, publicity manager of the show.
Six performances will be given in an excepting the premiere which comes on February 17, and will be for graduate members only. The first public performance is in Cambridge at the Pl Eta Club on February 18. The other dates on the schedule are February 23 at Cambridge, February 25 at Cambridge, February 26 at Andover, February 28 at West Newton, and March 5 at Wellesley.
Movies Film Rehearsals
Preparations for the production have been completed. Tomorrow afternoon representatives of the Pathe, International, and Fox News will be on hand at a full dress rehearsal to obtain motion pictures of the show. Invitations have been extended to the members of the "Queen High" and "Castles in the Air" companies to a theatrical tea to be given at the Club this week end in honor of the "Shoot the Works" cast. Invitations have already been sent out to patronesses, and the programs are being prepared.
The Crimson Ramblers have been engaged to provide the music at all performances. It will be a complete 12 piece orchestra under the direction of J. W. Green '28. Outstanding musical hits are "Once Upon a Time", "When You Have Gone Away", "Criss-Cross", "Carry Me Back", "Ragtime Cowboy Jones", and "Beneath Western Stars". The music and lyrics are by Richard Donham '27.
The action of the play takes place in Dead Head County Arizona, and centers around the love affair of Norma Rockwell, a wealthy easterner and Mary Ogden, a western beauty R. H. Bootn '27 and Howard Whitmore '29 take the leads respectively.
