Freshman Skaters Will Face Eli Pups, Led by Former Kent Luminary

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Playing their final game of the winter on alien ice, the Freshman skaters will today oppose Yale at New Haven. Led by R. L. Summers and C. R. Lakin, who work together in a fast and accurate attack, the 1930 men should provide the Blue with very stiff opposition.

Although not entering the final game with an unbroken string of victories, as had been the fortune of three previous Freshman sextets, the first year team has a record which but for the exceptional prowess of the 1927, 1928 and 1929 teams, would be highly creditable.

Freshmen Have Improved

The men have improved rapidly during the season, and under the capable coaching of C. L. Peirson '25 are now in stride to give serious competition to any sextet of their class.

In the person of Captain Palmer, a former Kent School star, Yale has a leader who stands as the foremost Freshman player in any eastern college. He heads a team which has a record very similar to the Crimson's, and which is capable of unusual hockey.
