Star Crimson Captain Unavailable for Match--Pool Chosen to Head Team Next Year

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In their second clash within four days the University and English squash teams will meet today on the University courts at 3:30 o'clock.

After the National tournament in Detroit J. L. Pool '28 was unanimously chosen to captain the team for next year.

There has been a slight change in both teams for the match with the English but none that should materially affect, it is forecast, their comparative strength. Captain H. N. Rawlins '27 of the University team is in New York and will not play. Rawlins was number one man and as a result of his absence the entire team will now be moved up one place, putting W. I. Iselin '28, formerly number six, at number five.

P. M. Lenhart '27, H. B. Jackson '27, J. L. Pool '28, E. D. Pratt '27 and W. L. Iselin '28 are the men who will meet the English invaders this afternoon.

Captain Victor Cazelet, who was unable to play as a member of the English team at Detroit because of his participation in the race for the individual crown, will hold the number one position in today's match. The other members of the visiting team are Colonel W. F. Bassett, P. de L. Casanove, F. M. Strawson and G. S. Incledon-Webber.

Close Match Forecast

Judging from previous records this match promises to be a nip and tuck affair. The English racquet men are all adept players and in their clash with the University team in the Nationals they staged a hard fight which nearly netted them a victory and very probably would have in case of victory at that time taken the title out of this country for the first time. After the first four matches the teams stood 2 to 2. Jackson, by winning his match, saved the day for the University team.
